Time Magazine used propaganda in discussion of the infamous wall which is conducted by the President of the United States, Donald Trump. The cover displays President Donald Trump looking down upon a young girl crying in fear with the words “Welcome to America” above her. The photo of the little girl was taken at the U.S.- Mexican border as her parents were being taken by border control.

The cover produced by Time Magazine targets the topic of gentrification and how the U.S. President is handling this issue. The news is always mentioning the issues with border control and families being separated, but Time Magazine’s cover is the perfect image to portray how President Donald Trump’s plans are affecting not only adults but the children of those being detained by border control. This cover argues that Donald Trump is not handling gentrification correctly. In my opinion the Time Magazine cover was persuasive because for the picture of the crying little girl takes an emotional toll on the audience and causes them to pause and analyze how these actions are affecting men and women of all ages.

Propaganda is the act of spreading information that may contain bias in support of a specific cause.
